ST. PETERSBURG: Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Yahya Afridi and Chief Justice of the Federal Constitutional Court Justice Aminuddin Khan participated in high-level discussions on law, technology and artificial intelligence during the St. Petersburg International Legal Forum (SPILF) 2026 in Russia.

Accompanied by Pakistan’s Ambassador to the Russian Federation, Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, the two chief justices attended a series of sessions focusing on the future of legal systems, judicial institutions and legal education in the era of rapid technological advancement.

The discussions brought together senior judges, legal practitioners, policymakers and academics from around the world to examine the growing impact of artificial intelligence on justice systems and legal frameworks.

Participants exchanged views on how laws and judicial institutions can keep pace with innovation while safeguarding the rule of law, judicial independence and fundamental rights.
