BAJAUR: For the first time in the history of Bajaur district, a recruitment has been made under the Martyrs’ Quota for the post of Police Assistant Sub-Inspector (PASI). Khalid Khan, the son of martyred Police Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Noor Hakeem, has been formally appointed as a Police Assistant Sub-Inspector.
District Police Officer (DPO) Bajaur, Muhammad Khalid Khan, handed over the appointment notification to Khalid Khan during a simple yet dignified ceremony held at his office.
On the occasion, DPO Muhammad Khalid Khan congratulated Khalid Khan and his family, stating that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police will never forget the unparalleled sacrifices of its martyrs. He said that the martyrs are the pride of the police force and a valuable asset to the nation, adding that ensuring the dignity, welfare, and support of their families remains one of the force’s foremost responsibilities.
The DPO expressed hope that Khalid Khan would follow in his late father’s footsteps by serving the public with honesty, courage, professionalism, and dedication while contributing to the maintenance of peace and law and order.
It is worth mentioning that ASI Noor Hakeem embraced martyrdom on July 2, 2025, when terrorists attacked him while he was performing official duties alongside Assistant Commissioner Nawagai, Faisal Ismail, at Sadiq Abad Phatak. His sacrifice is regarded as a proud chapter in the history of both Bajaur and the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police.
According to the Bajaur Police spokesperson, this appointment under the Martyrs’ Quota reflects the department’s commitment to honoring the sacrifices of its fallen personnel and ensuring continued support and welfare for their families.
