PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control Syed Fakhar Jehan paid a visit on Friday to Khweshgi in District Nowshera, where he met the family of Excise Police Officer Sajjad-ul-Islam, who embraced martyrdom in the tragic incident that occurred in Kohat.The Minister expressed his heartfelt condolences and sympathies with the bereaved family.
Parliamentary Secretary for Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control Zar Alam Khan accompanied the Minister during the visit.
Syed Fakhar Jehan offered prayers for the eternal peace and elevated ranks of the martyred officer and prayed that Allah Almighty grant patience and fortitude to the grieving family.
During the visit, he met the martyr’s father and also spent time with his children, comforting them with affection and words of encouragement.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that Shaheed Sajjad-ul-Islam sacrificed his precious life in the line of duty while serving the nation and fulfilling his professional responsibilities.
He stated that the entire nation salutes his supreme sacrifice and stands shoulder to shoulder with his family in this difficult time.
The Minister further announced that the provincial government would provide all financial benefits and compensation to the martyr’s family under the Shaheed Package.
He added that the government would also bear all educational expenses of the martyr’s children to help secure their future.
Reaffirming the government’s commitment, Syed Fakhar Jehan said that the family of Shaheed Sajjad-ul-Islam would never be left alone. He assured them that the government would continue to stand by them at every stage and ensure their dignity, honour and welfare.
