ISLAMABAD: A launching ceremony for three new books by former Inspector General of Police, civil servant, scholar and columnist Zulfiqar Ahmed Cheema was held at the Islamabad Club under the auspices of the literary and cultural organization Zavia and the Allama Iqbal Council.
The event was chaired by renowned poet and intellectual Iftikhar Arif, while Dr. Najeeba Arif attended as the chief guest. The ceremony was attended by a large number of writers, poets, scholars, civil servants, teachers, students and literature enthusiasts.
Speakers described Cheema’s books—“Jehd-e-Musalsal,” “Afkar-e-Taza,” and “Pakistaniyon Ke Naam Quaid Ka Paigham”—as valuable contributions to promoting national consciousness, moral values, the rule of law and intellectual awakening.
Addressing the gathering, Zulfiqar Ahmed Cheema thanked the organizers and said his writings aim to encourage positive thinking, ethical values, good governance and the vision of a strong and prosperous Pakistan.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, participants paid tribute to Cheema’s literary and public service contributions, describing his latest publications as an important source of guidance for the younger generation.
