PESHAWAR: SSP Rozia Altaf, currently serving as SSP Traffic Headquarters Peshawar, has reaffirmed her commitment to professional, transparent, and people-friendly policing, stating that integrity, discipline, and public trust remain the foundation of effective law enforcement.
In an interview, SSP Rozia Altaf reflected on her diverse policing career, saying each assignment had strengthened her professional skills and enhanced her ability to serve the public with dedication.
She highlighted her service in the Motorway Police, SP Investigation City Peshawar, Police Commandos/Elite Force, Special Security Unit (CPEC), and SP Training at the Police Training College, Hangu. She said her experience in criminal investigations, police training, traffic management, and operational policing had equipped her to handle challenging responsibilities effectively.
Speaking about her tenure at the Police Training College Hangu, she said training young police officers was one of the most rewarding assignments of her career. As Head Lecturer, she focused on discipline, professionalism, ethical policing, and respect for human rights.
SSP Rozia Altaf also discussed her role as SSP Complaints at CPO Peshawar, where she supervised the resolution of public grievances within the prescribed timeframe. She noted that a large number of complaints were successfully addressed, helping strengthen public confidence in the police.
She further highlighted her additional responsibilities in human rights, her role as a member of the Rapid Action Task Force (RATF), and her work as a Referral Service Provider for the Ombudsperson Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Recalling her election duties in the sensitive district of Karak, she said maintaining peace and ensuring a secure electoral process required close coordination, vigilance, and professionalism.
Currently serving as SSP Traffic Headquarters Peshawar, Rozia Altaf said her priority is to improve traffic management, promote road safety, and enhance public services through modern policing practices and community engagement.
She encouraged young women to pursue careers in law enforcement, emphasizing that dedication, honesty, and hard work are the keys to success.
Throughout her distinguished career, SSP Rozia Altaf has received numerous awards and commendations in recognition of her outstanding professional performance, commitment to public service, and contributions to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police.
