Director Youth Affairs says empowering young people through innovation key to progress

PESHAWAR: Director, Directorate of Youth Affairs Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Abbas Khan Afridi said that the youth were the greatest strength and asset of the province and the driving force behind its socio-economic progress at large.
In an exclusive conversation with media persons here the other day at his office, he said that the energy, creativity, and determination of young people had the potential to transform society and accelerate the national development.
He stated that the Directorate of Youth Affairs was highly committed to empowering young people by providing them with opportunities to realize their full potential and contribute meaningfully to the progress of Pakistan. According to him, the department’s vision is to create an enabling environment where youth can grow, innovate, and become productive members of the society.
The Director Youth Affairs maintained that the Directorate’s key priorities include promoting skill development, leadership, entrepreneurship, innovation, and active civic engagement. He emphasized that these initiatives were aimed at preparing the young population to become the responsible citizens and future leaders capable of addressing contemporary challenges.
He further said that the young people should have confidence in their abilities, take bold initiatives, and work collectively for the betterment of society.
He continued that by developing leadership qualities, teamwork, and a sense of responsibility, the youth could emerge as agents of positive change and play a vital role in the progress of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Pakistan.
Sharing his message for the youth, Abbas Afridi urged them to remain committed to education and research, acquire modern skills, embrace innovation, and actively participate in community development. He expressed confidence that with dedication, determination, and hard work, the youth could shape not only their own future but also the future of the province and the country.
Speaking about the long-term vision of the Directorate, he told that the Department of Youth Affairs was striving to create a safe, inclusive, and inspiring environment where every young person had equal opportunities to succeed, adding that the Directorate aimed to nurture a generation that leads with integrity, compassion, and vision while contributing to a prosperous and progressive Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
In his concluding remarks, the Director Youth Affairs urged the youth to remain optimistic, disciplined, and committed to serving society. He assured that the Directorate would continue to support and empower young people through various initiatives and opportunities, expressing hope that collective efforts would pave the way for a brighter future for both the province and Pakistan.
