SWAT: Deputy Commissioner Swat Salim Jan Marwat distributed trophies and prizes among winning and runner-up special athletes at the conclusion of sports competitions organized by the district administration under the Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Good Governance Road Map.
The event, held at Grassy Ground, featured cricket, tug-of-war and other games for persons with disabilities. Special athletes from Karak, Kohat and Peshawar participated with great enthusiasm, showcasing their talent and sportsmanship.
Speaking on the occasion, DC Salim Jan Marwat congratulated the participants on their outstanding performances and praised their determination, resilience and competitive spirit. He said persons with disabilities are an important part of society and deserve equal opportunities in sports and all other fields of life.
He added that such sporting events help boost confidence, encourage inclusion and provide a platform for special athletes to demonstrate their abilities. The deputy commissioner reaffirmed the district administration’s commitment to organizing more initiatives aimed at promoting the welfare, empowerment and active participation of persons with disabilities.
