PESHAWAR: The Pediatrics Ward of Hayatabad Medical Complex (HMC), under the leadership of Professor Dr. Aqeel Khattak, organized an awareness seminar and walk highlighting the importance of breastfeeding.
Faculty members and medical staff participated in the event. Speaking on the occasion, Professor Dr. Aqeel Khattak said breast milk provides essential nutrition for infants, supports healthy growth, strengthens immunity and promotes bonding between mother and child.
He stressed that healthcare professionals should provide mothers and families with accurate guidance and support regarding breastfeeding.
He said healthy children are the foundation of a healthy society and called for greater awareness and encouragement to promote breastfeeding.
Later, Professor Dr. Aqeel Khattak and faculty members participated in an awareness walk aimed at highlighting the benefits of breastfeeding.
