ISLAMABAD: U.S. Chargé d’Affaires Natalie A. Baker, on behalf of the government and people of the United States, extended warm congratulations to the people of Pakistan on the country’s 79th Independence Day.
In her message, Baker recalled that the United States was among the first countries to recognize Pakistan’s independence and said the two countries had since developed an enduring partnership based on a shared vision and commitment to the future.
She noted that 2027 would mark the 80th anniversary of U.S.-Pakistan relations, describing the milestone as an important occasion for both countries.
Referring to the U.S. “Freedom 250” initiatives, Baker said the celebrations highlighted not only America’s journey but also the shared commitment of the two nations to peace, prosperity and innovation.
She said the United States and Pakistan were working together to build a more prosperous future and reaffirmed that Washington remained a dedicated partner in Pakistan’s progress.
Concluding her message, Baker extended Independence Day greetings on behalf of the U.S. diplomatic mission in Pakistan, saying, “Yaum-e-Azadi Mubarak!”
