ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Friday emphasized that the implementation of the Islamabad MoU of June 18 in letter and spirit was the only way forward, reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to regional peace and security while safeguarding its national interests.
Ishaq Dar made these remarks during a meeting with U.S. Chargé d’Affaires Natalie A. Baker, who called on him here and discussed Pakistan-U.S. bilateral cooperation and recent regional developments.
The DPM/FM appreciated the positive trajectory in Pakistan-U.S. relations and underscored the importance of dialogue and diplomacy for lasting peace.
The U.S. Chargé appreciated Pakistan’s constructive role in promoting regional peace and stability and conveyed felicitations to the DPM/FM on Pakistan’s Independence Day.
