ISLAMABAD: Cuban families residing in Pakistan joined a special event at the Embassy of Cuba in Islamabad to commemorate the centenary of Cuban revolutionary leader Fidel Castro.
The emotional gathering featured poetry, paintings and speeches paying tribute to Fidel, expressing love for Cuba and highlighting solidarity with the Cuban people.
Cuban mothers attended the event with their children and husbands. Children also participated in a contest titled “Fidel and His Legacy to the New Generations,” presenting artworks and creative pieces in different disciplines.
The participants expressed respect for Fidel’s legacy and their deep attachment to Cuba, while voicing solidarity with the Cuban people and their struggle against the US blockade.
The event provided Cuban families in Pakistan an opportunity to remember Fidel’s contribution and share his legacy with younger generations.
