PESHAWAR: US Ambassador to Pakistan Natalie A. Baker met Speaker Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Babar Saleem Swati at KP House in Islamabad on Tuesday.
The meeting, attended by parliamentary leaders, provincial ministers and other officials, focused on strengthening Pakistan-US relations and expanding cooperation for the development and prosperity of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The two sides discussed potential cooperation in sports, tourism, minerals, energy, electricity, education, parliamentary affairs and capacity building. Provincial ministers briefed the US delegation on investment opportunities and ongoing development projects, while parliamentary leaders highlighted public issues and the security situation in the province.
Babar Saleem Swati said KP had vast potential in natural resources, minerals, tourism and its young population, adding that international cooperation and investment could create new opportunities for economic growth, employment and development.
Both sides agreed to strengthen bilateral cooperation and explore joint initiatives aimed at promoting development and prosperity in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
