PESHAWAR: Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Peshawar Dr Mian Saeed Ahmad inaugurated the newly reconstructed Dispute Resolution Council (DRC) at Regi Police Station and a police constabulary mess at Daudzai Police Station, in line with the vision of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Inspector General of Police Zulfiqar Hamid.

Senior police officers, including SP Warsak Tayyab Jan, SP Rural Division Sabir Gul Khan, SDPOs and SHOs, attended the ceremonies.

After administering the oath to the DRC chairman, secretary and members at Regi, Dr Mian Saeed Ahmad said the council had been established to provide the people of Regi with quick, affordable and effective justice, resolve longstanding disputes and address collective public issues.

He said DRCs were being made more active and people-friendly by incorporating the positive traditions and values of the centuries-old Jirga system, ensuring timely and accessible resolution of citizens’ problems.

Later, the CCPO inaugurated the police constabulary mess at Daudzai Police Station for the welfare of police personnel. He said police officers and personnel work around the clock to protect lives and property and maintain law and order, making their welfare, improved facilities and a healthy working environment among the department’s top priorities.

Dr Mian Saeed Ahmad said Capital City Police Peshawar would continue taking further measures for public facilitation, speedy justice and the welfare of police personnel.
