D.I. KHAN: An important Chairmen Council meeting of Gomal University was held under the chairmanship of Acting Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Nematullah Babar, with the Registrar, Deans, Director Finance, Controller Examinations, heads of departments and administrative officers in attendance.
The meeting reviewed academic, administrative and financial affairs and discussed measures to improve institutional performance, financial stability, academic standards and research activities.
Addressing the meeting, Prof Dr Nematullah Babar stressed collective efforts, transparency, consultation and a coordinated strategy for the university’s development. He said merit, discipline, accountability, transparency and quality education were among the administration’s top priorities.
The Acting Vice Chancellor said efforts were underway to strengthen the research culture and provide better opportunities for students and faculty. He directed officials to ensure timely recovery of fees and outstanding dues, stressing that negligence in recovery would not be tolerated.
He also announced strict implementation of a zero-tolerance policy against negligence, corruption, irregularities and violations of rules. He said all matters would be handled on merit and in the broader interest of the university.
Prof Dr Nematullah Babar expressed his resolve to utilise available resources to transform Gomal University into a stronger, transparent, modern and exemplary institution with a stronger academic, research and administrative profile.
