Dera Ismail Khan: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Food Department has intensified field inspections to ensure the timely availability of quality government-subsidized flour to the public at the officially fixed price.

Deputy Director Food Dera Division Nazir Rahman Wazir, along with District Food Controller Dera Muhammad Azam Khan, personally inspected various flour mills in Dera Ismail Khan. They reviewed the receipt and stock of government wheat, grinding operations and the quality and weight of the flour being produced.

The flour mill administrations were directed to strictly follow the prescribed SOPs and instructions of the Food Department. Nazir Rahman Wazir warned that any irregularity, record-related negligence or violation of procedures would not be tolerated and action would be taken under the rules.

The department said field inspections and monitoring would continue to ensure transparency in the wheat and flour system and availability of quality government flour at the fixed rate of Rs2,520 per 20kg bag.
