LAHORE: Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi has stressed the need to provide young people with greater opportunities to move forward, utilise their abilities and contribute to the country’s development.
Addressing the 16th Youth Peace Festival in Lahore as chief guest, Governor Kundi appreciated the efforts being made for the youth and said that given proper opportunities, young people could demonstrate their capabilities in an effective manner.
He said providing youth with quality education, skills and employment opportunities would not only help them build a better future but also enable them to play an important role in national development. He added that young people should also be given leadership opportunities so they could contribute their abilities to national affairs.
Governor Kundi said festivals of this nature provide an opportunity for young people from different provinces to interact, come closer and jointly think about a better future for the country.
He said he had always encouraged youth in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and had witnessed them demonstrate their abilities in various fields.
The Governor stressed the need for institutions and policies that create greater opportunities for young people. He said the climate crisis was no longer a distant issue and youth must also be brought into efforts aimed at addressing the challenge and developing solutions.
