ISLAMABAD: Azerbaijan Tourism Board (ATB), in collaboration with Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) and three local tourism industry partners, organised a series of tourism promotion events in Pakistan to strengthen cooperation with the country’s tourism sector.

The roadshows were held in Lahore on September 15, Karachi on September 17 and Islamabad on September 19, attracting more than 360 representatives from Pakistan’s tourism industry.

The events aimed to showcase Azerbaijan’s diverse tourism potential and expand business cooperation with Pakistani tourism stakeholders. Participants were briefed on Azerbaijan’s historical and cultural heritage, winter tourism and ski resorts, health tourism and ecotourism opportunities.

A dedicated presentation was also held on Shusha, which has been designated the Tourism Capital of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) for 2026.

Representatives of Pakistani tourism partners, including Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) and Airblue, participated in the events.

B2B meetings between Azerbaijani and Pakistani tourism industry representatives provided opportunities to explore partnerships, discuss business prospects and establish new connections between the two markets.
