MARDAN : Former provincial minister and member of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Zahir Shah Toru has said that the people and workers of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) are fully prepared for the September 27 movement for the release of Imran Khan. He said that a peaceful and constitutional struggle for the supremacy of the Constitution and law, democratic rights, and Imran Khan’s release would continue.
He expressed these views while addressing a gathering held in Union Council Khazana Dheri in connection with the September 27 movement for Imran Khan’s release. Senior PTI leaders Haroon Khan, Ilyas Toru and Lakhar Khan Hoti, along with local elders, party workers and a large number of people from the area, attended the gathering.
Zahir Shah Toru said that the people of Mardan, particularly the constituents of PK-57, had consistently expressed their affiliation with PTI and Imran Khan, while the enthusiasm and spirit shown by the people and party workers regarding September 27 were commendable.
He said that under the prevailing circumstances, the people would have to raise their voice for their constitutional and democratic rights. He urged party workers to remain united, organized and peaceful while fulfilling their responsibilities for the September 27 movement.
The former provincial minister thanked the people of Khazana Dheri, local elders and party workers for their large participation in the gathering. He said that efforts to strengthen public outreach would continue, along with consultations regarding the September 27 movement.
At the conclusion of the gathering, participants expressed solidarity with Imran Khan and pledged to participate actively in the September 27 movement. The speakers urged the workers to continue their activities peacefully while remaining within the constitutional and democratic framework.
