SWAT: The Swat Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry has been established to provide women entrepreneurs with an effective platform for representation and participation in business, industry and commercial activities.
An election ceremony was held in Swat, where women from different walks of life participated. According to the election results, Rubina Zafar was elected President, Dr. Yasmeen Gul Senior Vice President and Dr. Maria Vice President of the Swat Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Farzana Shams is the Founder of the Swat Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The newly elected Executive Members include Farhana Shah, Maria Subhan, Haseena Bibi, Musarrat, Nusrat Iqbal, Shabana, Rubina, Iqbal Jahan, Bushra Ahmad, Zara Shah, Marvi Saraj, Saba and Sheeba.
Speaking on the occasion, the newly elected office-bearers and executive members pledged to make the chamber an active and effective platform for women entrepreneurs and raise their issues before the relevant authorities.
They said women in Swat possess significant talent and entrepreneurial potential but need proper guidance, opportunities, platforms and access to markets to fully utilize their abilities.
The chamber leadership emphasized the need for practical measures to strengthen the economic and social role of women and increase their participation in business and industry. It also pledged to promote women-led businesses and create a conducive environment for commercial activities.
The newly elected members expressed hope that the Swat Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry would contribute to the economic empowerment of women and promote their participation in industrial, business and commercial activities across the district.
The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks to the guests and participants for their presence and support.
