PROVINCE REPORT
OKARA: Dr. Shahbaz Tariq, Head of Research at Freedom Gate Prosperity (FGP) and Assistant Professor at Hamdard University, Islamabad, met with Prof. Dr. Sajjad Mubin, Vice Chancellor of the University of Okara, to discuss opportunities for strengthening industry-academia collaboration, applied research, and institutional partnerships.
During the meeting, Dr. Tariq presented a copy of his book, “From Idea to Impact: Build, Launch, Grow: A Practical Guide for Young Entrepreneurs, to the Vice Chancellor. The book highlights the importance of transforming innovative ideas into practical initiatives that contribute to institutional development and meaningful societal impact.
The discussion focused on potential areas of future collaboration, particularly bridging the gap between academic research and industry needs, promoting innovation, enhancing students’ professional development, and creating opportunities for knowledge exchange.
Dr. Tariq emphasized the importance of building stronger linkages between universities, industry, and research organizations to promote evidence-based solutions, entrepreneurship, and sustainable economic development.
