PESHAWAR: Special Assistant to the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for Communications and Works, Muhammad Sohail Afridi, visited the FC Hospital Shah Kas along with Member of the National Assembly Shahid Khattak and Member of the Provincial Assembly Johar Muhammad. There, they inquired about the health of those injured in the Tirah shooting incident, expressed good wishes for their speedy recovery, and offered prayers for them.
On this occasion, Muhammad Sohail Afridi said that the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa shares in the grief of the victims of the Tirah incident and expresses complete solidarity with the affected families during this time of sorrow and pain. He stated that Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur is personally overseeing the matter and is in constant contact with the concerned administration. The Chief Minister has also convened a jirga of tribal elders in Peshawar, where their issues will be heard and further steps will be taken for a sustainable solution.
He added that before reaching any decision, the government is initiating the process of holding jirgas at the local level to ensure public participation. The Special Assistant mentioned that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government had also convened an All Parties Conference last week under political consensus to prevent such unfortunate incidents and to ensure lasting peace. Unfortunately, some opposition parties displayed a lack of seriousness by not attending.
He emphasized that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has already announced financial assistance for the victims and, in this difficult time, stands shoulder to shoulder with every affected family.
