Dera Ismail Khan: This year, along with Independence Day, the struggle for truth is also being celebrated with full national spirit throughout the country. In this regard, a magnificent commemorative walk was organized at the University of Agriculture, Dera Ismail Khan on August 12. The event was led by Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Shakibullah, while a large number of teachers, students and administrative staff of the university participated. The participants of the walk walked within the university premises holding the national flag, raising slogans of patriotism and expressing their commitment to the security and development of the country. On the way, the students raised slogans of “Long live Pakistan” and “Long live the Pakistan Army”. Addressing the ceremony, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Shakibullah said that the struggle for truth is a journey from achieving freedom to protecting freedom, and this is an unforgettable chapter of the courage, determination and sacrifice of the armed forces of Pakistan. He said that in the recent Pak-India tension, our armed forces and the Pakistan Air Force once again proved by giving a befitting reply to the enemy that Pakistan is ready to make every sacrifice to defend its sovereignty and national dignity. The Vice Chancellor also paid tribute to the resolve of the Pakistan Air Force that our every flight and every flight is for the dignity and glory of Pakistan. He said that today we not only celebrate the joy of independence but also remember the martyrs who sacrificed their lives to protect this freedom. The recent achievements of the Pakistan Army are a source of pride for the entire nation and they instill courage, enthusiasm and patriotism in our youth. The teachers and students participating in the ceremony vowed to keep alive the spirit of national solidarity, sacrifice and unity along with knowledge and research. Special prayers were offered for the security, development and prosperity of the beloved homeland.
