Rubina Khalid Reviews Women’s Registration Process

Staff Report

ABBOTTABAD: Chairperson Benazir Income Support Program Senator Rubina Khalid visited the Abbottabad District Office today. On this occasion, she took a detailed look at BISP’s Dynamic Registry Center and closely observed the registration process of deserving women. The Chairperson reviewed the registration process, staff performance and services provided for the convenience of women.

During the visit, she spoke to the women present at the center and asked them about their problems. She instructed the women to “always count and receive your assistance in full, and if anyone makes a deduction, file a complaint immediately.” She added that until the payment collection message is received on 8171, do not visit the payment center unnecessarily to avoid wasting time and resources.

Senator Rubina Khalid urged women to be courageous, strong and positive, saying, “You have to take care of your honor and dignity, keep your thinking positive and be fearless and courageous. The life of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto is a beacon of light for us in this regard.” She stressed that women must educate their children so that they can bring glory to Pakistan in the future.

She listened carefully to the issues raised by the women and issued instructions to the staff present on the spot for immediate solutions. Along with this, she also assured that the challenges faced at the policy level would be raised at the relevant forums and resolved. The Chairperson emphasized that women should also be fully informed about the re-certification process so that no one is left behind.

At the end of the visit, Senator Rubina Khalid expressed reservations about the location of the district office and said that the BISP Abbottabad office should be shifted to a place where it would be easier for deserving women to get services and they would not have to face travel difficulties.
