PESHAWAR: Under the chairmanship of Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Science & Information Technology, Dr. Shafqat Ayaz, a performance review meeting of the Department of Science & Information Technology was held in Peshawar. The meeting was attended by Additional Secretary Muhammad Shiraz, Managing Director of KP IT Board Akif Khan, Director General of Science & Technology Sajid Hussain Shah, and other senior officials. During the meeting, a detailed report on ongoing and upcoming projects of the Department of Science & Information Technology was presented, covering the current progress of each project, challenges faced, and future targets. Officials highlighted the achievements of each program and the benefits these projects are bringing to the public, ensuring a complete analysis of transparency and performance. Dr. Shafqat Ayaz emphasized that promoting the science and information technology sector in the province is a top priority of the government. He instructed officials to ensure that all projects are completed within the stipulated timelines while maintaining high standards, transparency, and public accessibility. He stressed that every project must deliver tangible benefits to the public and strengthen Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s position in the digital economy. He further stated that these initiatives are a practical manifestation of the vision of Chairman Imran Khan and Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, who have set clear policies to transform Khyber Pakhtunkhwa into a hub of modern technology and digital economy. According to Chairman Imran Khan, the future of the country lies in the hands of its youth, and this initiative by the KP government represents an important milestone in equipping young people to compete globally. Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur said that the youth of the province are a valuable asset, and the government’s policy is to empower them to play a leading role in the digital economy of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
