PESHAWAR : Abaseen Arts Council organized the award distribution ceremony for the MM Sharif Award 2026 competition, along with a three-day art exhibition, attracting students and individuals associated with the fine arts. The chief guest was Syed Muhammad Ali Shah, Director of the Culture and Tourism Authority, while renowned painter and calligrapher Liaquat Ali specially attended the event from Kohat.
During the ceremony, Syed Muhammad Ali Shah presented awards and cash prizes to students who demonstrated outstanding performance in the competition. Nazish Bangash won first place, receiving a cash prize of Rs. 15,000 along with the first-place award. Khizar Hayat secured second place and received Rs. 10,000, while Javeria won third place and was awarded Rs. 5,000.
In addition, three other students received cash prizes of Rs. 1,000 each in recognition of their efforts and to encourage their continued interest in the arts.
The participants’ creative abilities were appreciated during the ceremony, while the three-day exhibition showcased the artistic talent and dedication of emerging artists. Speakers and participants highlighted the importance of such competitions and exhibitions in encouraging young talent and promoting the fine arts.
The event concluded with congratulations to the award winners and a renewed commitment to supporting young artists and providing them with opportunities to further develop their creative skills.
