PESHAWAR: In a thrilling encounter at the Bannu Sports Complex, Sorani Red Football Club emerged victorious against Azad Football Club Pezo Lakmroth, securing a 2-1 win in the ongoing All Pakistan Bunyan Al-Marsoos Football Tournament.

The match was fiercely contested, drawing applause from a large crowd of football enthusiasts. Among the special guests were RSO Peshawar Kashif Farkhan, former DSO Khabibullah Khan, and celebrated Pakistan WAPDA hockey star Hamid Khan. The tournament committee extended a warm welcome to all the distinguished guests.

Speaking to the media, RSO Kashif Farkhan highlighted the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government’s commitment to the promotion and development of sports across the province. “We are taking all possible steps to support athletes and improve sports infrastructure. Special attention is being given to the upgradation of football grounds in Bannu,” he stated.

The tournament features 32 teams from Bannu Division, along with 8 provincial teams from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Representative squads from Balochistan, Punjab, and FATA are also participating, making it a truly national-level event.

Scheduled to culminate on June 30, 2025, the tournament is being organized through the collaborative efforts of the Pakistan Army, District Administration, and the Bannu Sports Department. The initiative aims to engage youth in healthy activities and provide a platform for showcasing emerging talent from across the country.
