KABUL, Afghanistan, February 5, 2026: The Pakistan Embassy in Afghanistan hosted a solemn ceremony to mark Kashmir Solidarity Day, with Ambassador Ubaid-ur-Rehman Nizamani highlighting the unbreakable ideological and spiritual bond between Pakistan and the Kashmiri people.
Addressing the event, Ambassador Nizamani stated that the destinies of Pakistanis and Kashmiris are intertwined, emphasizing that a strong Pakistan is essential for Kashmir’s liberation, while realization of Kashmiris’ legitimate rights is crucial for fulfilling Pakistan’s ideological vision. He reaffirmed the nation’s unwavering commitment to the Kashmiri struggle for self-determination and described solidarity with Kashmir as a fundamental national duty.
The Ambassador stressed that the Jammu and Kashmir dispute remains one of the oldest issues on the UN Security Council agenda, urging Pakistanis to strengthen the nation’s ideology through collective and individual responsibility. The ceremony concluded with prayers for the martyrs of Kashmir and for the prosperity of Pakistan.
Powerful messages from President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, and Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar were also read during the event.
