Art and Cultural Exchange Highlight Pakistan–U.S. Partnership

ISLAMABAD: The U.S. Embassy in Islamabad on Thursday launched the “Let Freedom Ring” Liberty Bell exhibition at Lok Virsa Museum and the Pakistan Monument Museum, marking the United States’ 250th anniversary of independence through a unique cultural collaboration with Pakistani artists.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by U.S. Chargé d’Affaires Andy Halus and Federal Minister for National Heritage and Culture Aurangzeb Khan Khichi.
As part of the initiative, the Embassy’s Public Diplomacy Section, through its Lincoln Corners network, collaborated with 16 Pakistani artists, each creating a painted replica of the iconic Liberty Bell inspired by the theme, “What does freedom mean to me?”
Speaking on the occasion, Andy Halus said the exhibition reflected the shared values of Pakistan and the United States, including freedom of expression, art, and creativity. Aurangzeb Khan Khichi welcomed the initiative, saying cultural exchanges play a vital role in strengthening bilateral relations.
The exhibition will remain open to the public from July 23 to July 27 at Lok Virsa Museum and the Pakistan Monument Museum as part of the U.S. Mission Pakistan’s year-long Freedom 250 campaign celebrating the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Declaration of Independence.
