PESHAWAR : Central spokesperson for Insaf Lawyers Forum Pakistan, Advocate Masooma Mir, has condemned the arrest of Aliema Khan, Dr. Uzma Khan and Noreen Niazi, sisters of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder chairman Imran Khan, saying that such measures cannot suppress the voice of truth.
In a statement, she said that such actions ahead of the September 27 Insaf March could further increase political tensions. She said the government should take steps to reduce political tensions in the country instead of taking action against political opponents.
Advocate Masooma Mir said that PTI workers and the public would continue their peaceful struggle for the achievement of their constitutional and democratic rights. She said PTI would not back down from the demands for which the September 27 Insaf March is being held.
She said that political conditions in the country could not return to normal without the release of Imran Khan, adding that political issues should be resolved through dialogue and constitutional means.
She further said that PTI stands with its leader Imran Khan and his family and would continue its struggle while remaining within the framework of the Constitution and law. She said all stakeholders should seek to resolve issues through dialogue and the democratic process for political stability in the country.
