PESHAWAR: An art competition was organized at Naseer Teaching Hospital Peshawar, drawing large participation from students and representatives of medical and non-medical institutions across the city. The event aimed to showcase the creative talents of youth while raising awareness about social and health-related issues.
Regional Director College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP) Peshawar, Dr. Waqar Alam Jan, attended the event as chief guest. The ceremony was also attended by the Chancellor of Gandhara University, along with senior educationists and administrators from both public and private sector institutions.
A special highlight of the event was the selection of an autistic child as the Ambassador for 2026. The organizers stated that this initiative was intended to promote awareness about autism and emphasize the importance of social inclusion and support for strengthening Pakistan’s health and education systems.
The competition was divided into two categories—health and non-health—and featured participants from a wide range of universities and colleges, representing diverse academic backgrounds. The event also included food, cultural and cosmetic stalls, as well as gaming areas, creating a vibrant and engaging atmosphere for students.
Speakers at the event stressed the importance of such academic and cultural activities in encouraging creativity, fostering awareness, and strengthening cooperation among the youth.
