The Awaam Pakistan Party has made significant progress in strengthening its organizational structure by fully adhering to the Election Commission’s rules and regulations. The party successfully completed a two-phase electoral process. In the first phase, intra-party elections were held across the country, while the second phase consisted of central-level elections, providing party workers with a direct opportunity to elect their representatives.Transparency, merit, and democratic principles were ensured throughout the process, which party members have described as a positive and healthy precedent.
According to the party spokesperson, the results of the central elections have been officially announced.Shahid Khaqan Abbasi was elected President, Miftah Ismail as Secretary General, and Zafar Mirza as Secretary Information, all unopposed. The election process was conducted in a free and fair manner in accordance with Election Commission rules, reflecting the party’s democratic vision and strong organizational framework.Meanwhile, Chaudhry Inam Zafar was elected Central Vice President with a heavy majority, while Hafiz Usman Abbasi secured the position of Additional General Secretary. The voter turnout stood at an impressive 85.5%, which has been widely regarded as a positive sign for the party’s future.Akbar Imran Shaukat was elected as Finance Secretary, and Tariq Cheema as Coordinator Overseas. Additionally, 2 candidates were elected for Additional General Secretary positions, 6 for Vice President, and 12 for Joint Secretary roles.Party leaders have termed the elections a strong reflection of the trust shown by workers and leadership alike.They stated that these elections demonstrate the Awaam Pakistan Party’s commitment to promoting democracy, transparency, and a fair electoral process in the country, and reaffirmed their resolve to continue this tradition in the future.
