Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Malakand Division, Sher Akbar Khan, paid an emergency visit to Bajaur following an attack on the residence of Member of National Assembly (MNA) and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister, Mubarak Zeb Khan. During the visit, the DIG conducted a detailed inspection of the crime scene, thoroughly reviewed the security arrangements, and closely examined the available evidence.


District Police Officer (DPO) Bajaur Waqas Rafiq, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Counter Terrorism Department (CTD), and other relevant officials accompanied the DIG during the visit. DIG Sher Akbar Khan also met with the family members of MNA Mubarak Zeb Khan, expressed solidarity, and assured them that those responsible for the attack would soon be brought to justice.
He instructed the police officers to utilize all available resources to apprehend the culprits and directed the investigation team to adopt modern scientific and technical methods to ensure the identification and arrest of those involved.
It is worth mentioning that last night, unidentified assailants launched a rocket-propelled attack on the residence of MNA Mubarak Zeb Khan. Fortunately, no casualties were reported; however, the boundary wall of the house sustained partial damage.
Police have launched an investigation, and security in the area has been tightened.
