ISLAMABAD: Bannu once again came under the shadow of terrorism today when cowardly elements launched an attack on the FC Lines. However, the assault proved fatal for the terrorists, as Pakistan’s police and security forces responded swiftly and decisively. Surrounding the area, they crushed the terrorists’ designs, driving them away under a hail bullets, leaving several dead while a search operation continues to track down the remaining attackers. The operation was personally led by Regional Police Officer (RPO) Bannu, Sajad Khan, and District Police Officer (DPO) Saleem Abbas Kalachi. Both officers were present on the front line, standing shoulder-to-shoulder with their teams in the face of gunfire—an act of courage not everyone is capable of. Sajad Khan’s bravery and leadership are well recognized; from restoring peace in Swat, to countering terrorism in Peshawar, and repelling the deadly assault on the Agriculture University, he has always proven his valor. For these services, the President of Pakistan honored him with a prestigious gallantry award. DPO Saleem Abbas Kalachi is also renowned for his resolve and courage. As DPO of Khyber, his operations shattered the backbone of criminal networks, and today in Bannu, he once again stood like a steel wall against terrorists. This operation reaffirms that the police motto—“Life is a sacrifice, and maintaining peace is our faith”—is not merely words but a living commitment. Citizens have been urged to extend full cooperation with the police and security agencies. Every individual has a vital role in this struggle, for this is not just the fight of one institution, but of the entire nation. Terrorists, despite their cunning, will never succeed on this land—their every sinister move will turn against them. This tale of sacrifice is not limited to today. The martyrs of the Peshawar Police Lines, the brave soldiers of Lakki Marwat, and the officers who laid down their lives in Dera Ismail Khan and Mohmand Agency—all lit the torch of peace with their blood. The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police have always offered the ultimate sacrifice, and because of these sacrifices, this land remains secure. The blood of martyrs has never gone in vain, nor will it ever, for it strengthens the very foundations of the homeland and sends a timeless message to future generations: the soldiers of Pakistan can never be defeated. This operation is a clear declaration that terrorists have no place on this soil. The lion-hearted personnel of Pakistan’s police and security forces risk their lives so that citizens may live in peace. Every soldier, every officer, and every jawan delivers the same message through their sacrifice—that the people of Pakistan are safe, and the terrorists’ ambitions will forever remain doomed.
