ISLAMABAD: Chairperson BISP, Senator Rubina Khalid, attended a cake-cutting ceremony organized by BISP employees today to mark the 72nd birthday of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto at the BISP Headquarters.
On this occasion, Senator Rubina Khalid paid tribute to Shaheed Mohterma Benazir Bhutto and addressed the employees. She emphasized that the vision, mission, and courage of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto must continue to guide our work. She stated that President Asif Ali Zardari has fulfilled the dream of Shaheed Bibi by launching the Benazir Hunarmand Program, a landmark initiative and a proud achievement for BISP.
She added, “Through BISP, we have made the lives of deserving people easier—now, through the Benazir Hunarmand Program, we must strive to further improve their lives and help them become self-reliant. If we succeed in performing this noble task with sincerity, the gates of heaven will surely open for us.”
She further stated that fear must be removed from the hearts of deserving women and replaced with confidence. “They should feel secure and empowered, with the assurance that no injustice or exploitation will be tolerated. We must work together to fulfill this mission, counter negative perceptions about the institution, and ensure that any complaints are addressed promptly and effectively,” she said.
Highlighting the unified vision of the organization, she added, “The BISP family is driven by a shared purpose—to serve the most deserving women of our society. Together, we must turn all BISP initiatives, including the Benazir Hunarmand Program, into true success stories.”
Senator Rubina Khalid also paid glowing tribute to the leadership of Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. She remarked, “Leaders are not merely made—they are born. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is a living example of this truth.” She further noted that Chairman Bilawal Bhutto is recognized globally for his political insight, fearless leadership, and articulate advocacy of Pakistan’s stance on international platforms. His dynamic presence reflects the legacy of both Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, making him a source of pride not only for the party but for the entire nation.
Earlier, President of the BISP Officers Association, Sardar Azmat, and President of the All Pakistan BISP Employees Welfare Association, Sardar Shiraz, also addressed the gathering and shared their views. At the conclusion of the event, Senator Rubina Khalid, along with BISP staff, cut the birthday cake of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto in her honour.
