UPPER DIR: The Upper Dir police and Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) have concluded a successful 4 days targeted operation against terrorists, resulting in the killing of 9 terrorists. The operation was led by District Police Officer (DPO) Upper Dir,
The operation was launched four days ago in the areas of Dobando, Bekare, Salam Kot, Hattan Dsra, and surrounding areas under the jurisdiction of Dir City Police Station.
Police has said that the operation was based on credible intelligence indicating the presence of terrorist elements from banned organizations in the area.The operation involved the participation of Dir police, Al-Burq Commandos, Elite Force, RRF unit, CTD, Bomb Disposal Squad, and DSB staff.he added.
Police sources said, Modern weapons, APCs, thermal imaging devices, and drone cameras were used to effectively target the terrorists. DPO claimed, he said in four-day operation, 9 terrorists were killed, and 5 bodies were recovered so far.
He told that
Two civilians were martyred, and 10 police personnel were injured in the terrorist firing.
The area of Dobando was thoroughly searched and cleared of terrorists , Several hideouts and bases were destroyed, and the houses of terrorists Qari Ubaidullah, Commander Sajidullah, and Naeem were also torched and destroyed.
DPO Syed Muhammad Bilal stated that this bold operation is a significant milestone in the fight against terrorism and the establishment of lasting peace.Dir police is always ready to protect the lives and property of the public and eliminate terrorism, and will not hesitate to make any sacrifice for this purpose.
