Moscow, Russia: A delegation of the Christian Businessmen Fellowship Pakistan (CBFP) met with Pakistan’s Ambassador to the Russian Federation, H.E. Mr. Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, and Ms. Shabana Mumtaz, Commercial Attaché (Trade & Investment Officer), at the Embassy of Pakistan in Moscow to discuss expanding trade, investment, and business cooperation between Pakistan and Russia.
The meeting underscored the shared commitment of both sides to enhancing economic partnerships and promoting stronger commercial relations. Discussions focused on increasing bilateral trade, encouraging investment opportunities, and fostering greater business-to-business engagement between the two countries.
According to the Embassy of Pakistan in Russia, a business delegation from Pakistan’s Christian community, led by Fr. Cyril of the Orthodox Church of Pakistan, met with Ambassador Faisal Niaz Tirmizi at Pakistan House. During the meeting, participants exchanged ideas on enhancing bilateral trade as well as strengthening people-to-people contacts between Pakistan and Russia.
The CBFP delegation also participated in INNOPROM Expo 2026, one of Russia’s premier international industrial exhibitions, held in Yekaterinburg from July 6 to 9. The 10-member delegation represented Pakistan at the global industrial forum, exploring opportunities for business collaboration, investment, and international partnerships.
The visit marks a historic milestone as the first-ever international business delegation of the Christian Businessmen Fellowship Pakistan to travel to Russia on business visas specifically to participate in the prestigious INNOPROM exhibition.
Speaking on the occasion, Saleem Shakir, President of the Christian Businessmen Fellowship Pakistan, described the visit as a landmark achievement in the organization’s mission to promote international trade and economic cooperation.
“This historic journey marks a significant milestone in CBFP’s mission to promote international trade, investment, business networking, and global partnerships. We pray that God grants our delegation wisdom, favor, protection, and fruitful connections that will open new doors for Pakistani businesses and strengthen international relations,” he said.
He also called upon supporters and well-wishers to keep the entire CBFP delegation in their prayers as they proudly represent Pakistan on the global business stage.
The successful visit reflects the growing role of Pakistan’s Christian business community in promoting economic diplomacy and contributing to stronger international business relations.
