Peshawar: CECOS University proudly launched the opening ceremony of ICHARMM-2025, the 1st International Conference on Humanities, AI, Research, Management & Mathematics. The ceremony was held on campus, bringing together academia, industry, and legal luminaries to inaugurate this landmark event.
The program was officially opened by Dr. Muhammad Mohsin Khan, Vice Chancellor of CECOS University, who welcomed all delegates, outlined the university’s commitment to interdisciplinary research, and underscored the importance of integrating humanities with emerging technologies.
In his remarks, Dr. Muhammad Mohsin Khan emphasized that ICHARMM-2025 is a timely platform that reflects CECOS University’s mission of fostering global collaboration and generating innovative solutions to contemporary challenges.
The event’s Chief Guest, Senator Nauman Wazir Khattak, Chairman of FF Steel, addressed attendees with a powerful speech on the role of research and education in driving economic growth and technological progress in Pakistan. He praised the multidisciplinary vision of ICHARMM-2025 and encouraged strengthened partnerships between academia and industry to leverage cutting-edge scholarship in real-world applications.
The conference featured two distinguished keynote speeches:
* Prof. Dr. Qibla Ayaz, Member of the Shariat Appellate Bench of the Supreme Court of Pakistan, delivered a thought-provoking address on the intersections of law, ethics, and artificial intelligence, highlighting the need to ground modern technologies in moral and societal frameworks.
* Mr. Ayub Zakori, CEO of Zakori Group, President of CEO Club – KP Chapter, and President of the Industrialist Association Peshawar, spoke on innovation, entrepreneurship, and the critical role of industry in supporting research ecosystems. He urged students and researchers to adopt an entrepreneurial mindset and collaborate with industry to scale their ideas.
A major academic highlight of ICHARMM-2025 was the successful presentation and publication of 70 research papers spanning Management Sciences, Humanities, Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Islamiat, and Pakistan Studies. These papers have been formally published in AIJSS (Y-Category), marking a significant milestone in advancing high-quality national research.
In addition to keynote sessions, the opening ceremony included a formal introduction, followed by a group photo of keynote guests, conference organizers, and university leadership. Dr. Muhammad Mohsin Khan presented mementos to the chief guest and keynote speakers as a token of appreciation for their participation.
ICHARMM-2025 aims to serve as a vibrant forum where scholars, practitioners, and students from across the nation can exchange ideas in diverse fields such as humanities, artificial intelligence, management sciences, and mathematics. Through cross-disciplinary dialogue, the conference seeks to address complex global challenges — including ethical AI, sustainable management, and human-centered innovation — through collaborative research and shared learning.
The conference proceedings will include sessions, paper presentations, poster exhibitions, and workshops. Selected contributions are slated for publication in peer-reviewed outlets, reinforcing CECOS University’s reputation as a hub for high-impact scholarship and international academic engagement.
