PESHAWAR: Central Asia Friendship Biker Rally Reaches Peshawar

Peshawar: The Central Asia Friendship Bikers Rally has arrived Peshawar from Lahore as part of its journey from Pakistan to Afghanistan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. The rally set to proceed to the Torkham border and into Afghanistan today via the historic Bab-e-Khyber.
The bikers were warmly welcomed by Director General Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Tourism Authority, Mr. Habibullah Arif.
He was joined by Director Admin & Finance Mr. Omer Arshid Khan, Manager Events Mr Muhammad Ali Syed, Deputy Director Museums Mr. Bakht Muhammad, Curator Mr. Saqib, President of the Motorbike Association of Pakistan Mr. Mukarram Tareen and other distinguished personalities.
Addressing the gathering, DG Habibullah Arif stated that, “On the special instructions of Advisor to Tourism Mr. Zahid Chanzeb, the Central Asia Friendship Biker Rally was given a grand reception in Peshawar.
This initiative will not only revive the significance of the ancient Silk Road but also foster strong tourism and cultural ties between Pakistan and Central Asian countries,” he said. This is the first time in history that a biker rally is traveling along this route—from Lahore to Peshawar and onwards to Afghanistan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.
Mr. Mukarram Tareen, President of the Motorbike Association of Pakistan, said that the group, consisting of 15 members, 11 bikes and 1 support vehicle, will cover approximately 5,000 kilometers over a span of 23 days. He added that the purpose of the rally is to promote tourism, culture, and archaeology, while delivering a positive message from Pakistan to the world. “The Central Asia Track holds immense historical value. Through this rally, we aim to engage the people of these regions and encourage them to explore the tourism potential of Pakistan,” he remarked.
