Bajaur: In line with the directives of the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, financial assistance cheques were distributed among hearing-impaired students of the Special Education School in District Bajaur.

The ceremony was held at the DC Office, Civil Colony Khar, and was attended by Deputy Commissioner Bajaur Shahid Ali Khan and Member of the Provincial Assembly Anwar Zeb Khan. During the event, cheques of Rs. 10,000 per student were distributed under the approved financial assistance program of the provincial government. Officials stated that the initiative aims to ensure that special children are included in the joy of Eid and receive equal opportunities for encouragement and support.

Deputy Commissioner Shahid Ali Khan said that the government is taking serious measures for the welfare of special children and is ensuring the provision of education along with other basic facilities. He added that hearing-impaired students are being provided all educational facilities up to Grade Five.

MPA Anwar Zeb Khan stated that recommendations have been sent to the Social Welfare Department to upgrade the Special Education School Bajaur to the middle level, enabling more special children in the district to benefit from improved educational facilities.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, parents and students appreciated the government’s initiative and expressed hope that such welfare-oriented efforts will continue in the future.
