Chicago:
A graceful unveiling ceremony for renowned poet, anchor, and social media activist Tahira Rida’s poetry collection “Tere Naam Ke Saare She’r” was held in Chicago under the auspices of the Global Dabistan-e-Adab Chicago and the Chicago Studies Forum. The event became a memorable literary gathering with the participation of poets, writers, and literature enthusiasts from various U.S. states as well as from the Chicagoland area.

The unveiling was performed by internationally acclaimed poet Abbas Tabish — Safir-e-Ishq (Ambassador of Love). Program host Professor Masroor Qureshi warmly welcomed all attendees and presented a comprehensive and insightful paper on Tahira Rida’s literary journey. He especially thanked the poets and writers who traveled from out of state, stating that their presence reflected their deep love for the Urdu language.

Among the distinguished participants were Dr. Saeed Pasha (Ohio), Mona Shehab (Maryland), Ateeq Haider and Khurram Sohail (Ohio), Ikram Basra (Iowa), and Dr. Qutubuddin Abu Shuja (Indiana).

The book was published by Ishqabad, Lahore. Abbas Tabish spoke about the stages of its publication and praised the literary qualities of Tahira Rida’s poetry. Other speakers, including Dr. Taufiq Ansari Ahmed, Mona Shehab, Ikram Basra, Abid Rasheed, Dr. Afzaal-ur-Rehman Officer, Riaz Niazi, Shagufta Hussain, Humaira Aqeel, and Dr. Zahid Malik, commended Tahira Rida’s literary contributions and her active role within the community.

During the ceremony, Muhammad Majeedullah Khan (Founder, Global Markazi Adabiat-e-Urdu) presented Nishan-e-Sipas to Abbas Tabish and Tahira Rida. Professor Masroor Qureshi presented Tahira Rida with a beautiful portrait featuring her poetry. A cake decorated with the book’s cover was cut, and the attendees presented her with over a dozen bouquets and gifts.

Event arrangements were managed by Mazhar Alam, Ashraf Khan, Manzar Alam, Muhammad Hussain, Muhammad Majeedullah Khan, and Shahid Khan.
