PROVINCE REPORT

ISLAMABAD: The implementation of China’s Ethnic Unity and Progress Promotion Law marks an important step toward strengthening ethnic unity, protecting the rights and interests of all ethnic groups and promoting common development through the rule of law.

The law, which came into effect on July 1, provides a comprehensive legal framework for China’s ethnic affairs and seeks to strengthen unity, social stability and development in ethnic regions. It also aims to promote equal development opportunities and shared prosperity among different ethnic groups.

China’s experience demonstrates the importance of unity, cooperation and rule of law in promoting social harmony and sustainable development. The law further supports efforts to integrate ethnic regions into national development strategies and improve their capacity for economic and social development.

China and Pakistan, both multiethnic and multicultural countries, have maintained close friendship and mutual support for decades. Over 75 years of diplomatic relations, the two countries have developed an all-weather strategic cooperative partnership based on mutual respect, trust and shared interests.

China highly values Pakistan’s consistent support for the One-China principle and its position on issues concerning China’s core interests. It also reaffirmed its support for Pakistan’s sovereignty, independence, territorial integrity and development path.

At a new stage of bilateral cooperation, China stands ready to work with Pakistan to further strengthen the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and advance CPEC 2.0, while expanding cooperation in various fields.

Closer collaboration, mutual trust and people-to-people exchanges will help both countries address emerging challenges, promote development and build an even closer China-Pakistan community with a shared future.

May China and Pakistan continue to prosper and may their enduring friendship remain strong for generations to come.
