PESHAWAR: The week-long Independence Day 2025 celebrations concluded with high enthusiasm in a spirited closing ceremony at the Peshawar Campus, organized by the Society for Literature & Arts of Peshawar Medical College (PMC) and Peshawar Dental College (PDC) Riphah International University campus.
This year’s theme, “Islam tera des hai to Mustafawi hai”, inspired a variety of activities including essay writing, poetry, photography, national anthem recitation, painting, and a panel discussion titled “Qaid ka Pakistan: aik haqeeqat ya khawab.”
Prof. Dr. Ayesha Abdullah, Vice Dean and Chairperson of the Society, in her keynote address on the history of the freedom movement, urged students to develop open minds, enhance their knowledge and embody values that protect them from being misled.
The ceremony concluded with a prize distribution, where Prof. Dr. Mohammad Aman Khan (Principal, PMC), Prof. Dr. Ayesha Abdullah, Prof. Dr. Mohsina Haq, and Dr. Farhat Malik awarded the winners, appreciating their creativity and patriotic spirit.
