KOHAT: Commissioner Kohat Division Syed Motasim Billah Shah has visited Khushal Garh at Kohat District to review the Rescue Operation of a tragic incident of a boat capsizing in the Indus River, in which several people are reported missing.
As the incident was reported, Commissioner Kohat Division Motasim Billah Shah along with the Deputy Commissioner Kohat Abdul AKram Chitrali and Assistant Commissioner Kohat Nimra Owais, immediately rushed to the spot and reviewed the ongoing rescue operations. Four teams of Rescue 1122, including expert divers, ambulance staff, and personnel equipped with modern equipments, are engaged in rescue activities at the affected site. Rescue agencies are continuously engaged in the search and rescue of people drowning in the water.
The district Administration Kohat is closely monitoring the Rescue Operation. Commissioner Kohat was briefed in detail at the scene and issued instructions to utilize all available resources for recovery of the missing persons as soon as possible.
Commissioner Kohat while talking to the media on this occasion, said that all possible steps are being taken to protect human lives and no negligence will be tolerated in this regard. He appealed the people not to hinder the rescue operation and fully cooperate with the administration.
The incident has caused a wave of deep sorrow and grief among the locals. Rescue operations are still in progress and all possible efforts are being made to search for the missing persons.
