On the directives of Deputy Commissioner Bajaur, Mr. Shahid Ali, Assistant Commissioner (Headquarters) Khar, Dr. Sadiq Ali, along with AAC Khar-1 Kaleem Jan and Assistant Director Industries Bajaur, conducted a joint inspection of stone crushing units/crush plants operating in Sheikh Kaly, Tehsil Khar, Bajaur.
The action was carried out to ensure that the operations of these crush plants were in compliance with legal and environmental regulations. The primary objective of the inspection was to assess adherence to licensing requirements, environmental standards, safety protocols, and the overall legal status of operations as outlined in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Power Crushers Act, 2020.
As a result of the inspection, 5 crush plants were sealed today, while 13 were sealed yesterday, for operating without proper legal authorization.
The owners/managers of the sealed units have been directed to appear before the relevant authorities and regularize their operations by fulfilling all legal requirements in accordance with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Power Crushers Act, 2020.
