Bajaur: The district administration has launched a full-scale crackdown against overcharging of fares from passengers at Jinnah Bus Terminal in Khar. Acting on the directives of Deputy Commissioner Bajaur, Shahid Ali Khan, Assistant Commissioner Headquarters Khar, Amirullah Khan Wazir, along with Additional Assistant Commissioners Adil Shehzad and Asadullah, and DSP Sohail Salar, paid a surprise visit to the terminal. During the visit, an اہم meeting was held with representatives of transporters in response to public complaints.
During the meeting, the administration adopted a firm stance and warned transporters to strictly comply with the officially approved fare list at all costs, stating that any violation would result in strict legal action. Officials emphasized maintaining discipline within the transport system and made it clear that arbitrary fare hikes and overcharging would not be tolerated under any circumstances.
Furthermore, police and traffic wardens were issued special instructions to closely monitor activities at the terminal and ensure immediate action against those violating the official fare list, in order to provide relief to passengers and restore public confidence.
