Bajaur : In a significant development during the ongoing district-wide operation against drug peddlers, Bajaur Police carried out a large-scale and effective crackdown, conducting raids on the houses, shops, and other suspected locations of known drug dealers. As a result, two notorious individuals were taken into custody.
Under the supervision of Circle DSP Utman Salarzai Bakht Munir, SHO Salarzai Police Station Sher Zamin Khan and his team arrested two infamous drug dealers, Luqman and Zafar Khan, residents of Pasht, recovering hashish and crystal meth (ice) from their possession. According to police officials, formal cases have been registered against the accused under the Narcotics Act.
Commenting on the operation, District Police Officer (DPO) Bajaur Waqas Rafiq stated, “A drug-free Bajaur is our top priority. The policy of zero tolerance against those involved in drug trafficking will continue to protect the future of our youth.”
According to the spokesperson for Bajaur Police, the crackdown across the district is being intensified further to eradicate the menace of narcotics, and no leniency or concession will be extended to those involved.
