DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Commissioner Dera Ismail Khan, Muhammad Dawood, held a special meeting with Maulana Qari Muhammad Farooqi, spokesperson of Wifaq Al-Madaris Al-Arabiya, and representatives of Jamia Usmania Mariyali to discuss effective enforcement of the Ramadan Act during the holy month.
During the meeting, Maulana Qari Muhammad Farooqi emphasized the need for intensified efforts to ensure strict implementation of the Ramadan Act throughout the fasting period. He urged the district administration to take proactive measures to uphold the sanctity of the holy month.
Speaking on the occasion, Commissioner Muhammad Dawood stated that Ramadan holds immense spiritual significance for Muslims and that no leniency would be shown toward any violation or act that undermines the law. He reiterated that the district administration is undertaking comprehensive measures to facilitate citizens during Ramadan and to ensure that the environment remains respectful and in accordance with Islamic values.
He further remarked that it is the collective responsibility of society to safeguard the sanctity of Ramadan and benefit fully from its spiritual blessings.
Maulana Qari Muhammad Umair Farooqi, while appreciating the administration’s initiatives, assured complete cooperation from religious scholars and madrassas in supporting the authorities for effective enforcement of the Ramadan Act. He reaffirmed that religious institutions would play their due role in promoting awareness and compliance during the sacred month.
