BAJAUR: The district administration in Bajaur has stepped up practical measures to improve public service delivery. Deputy Commissioner Bajaur Shahid Ali Khan paid a surprise visit to Jinnah Bus Terminal and Children Family Park in Khar, where he conducted a detailed review of administrative affairs and public facilities.
During his visit to the Jinnah Bus Terminal, the Deputy Commissioner closely inspected the functionality of CCTV cameras, the overall cleanliness, staff attendance, and the basic facilities provided to passengers. Expressing strong displeasure over poor sanitation conditions, he directed the TMA Khar to immediately implement an effective cleaning system, enforce the official fare list, and resolve other basic issues without delay. He emphasized that ensuring a clean, safe, and well-organized travel environment for passengers is the administration’s foremost responsibility.
The Deputy Commissioner further instructed that sustainable cleanliness arrangements, improved functionality of facilities, and better management be ensured at the bus terminal to promptly address public grievances. He warned the concerned authorities that negligence or inefficiency would not be tolerated.
Later, the Deputy Commissioner also visited the Children Family Park, where he reviewed cleanliness, available facilities, and the overall environment. Declaring the sanitation standards unsatisfactory, he ordered immediate steps for the installation of solar lights, provision of benches, and overall renovation of the park.
He stated that providing the public with a clean and pleasant recreational environment is among the top priorities of the district administration, and any negligence in this regard will not be tolerated. Citizens welcomed the surprise visit by the administration and expressed hope that it would lead to tangible improvements in the near future.
