Bajaur: Deputy Commissioner Bajaur, Shahid Ali Khan, paid detailed visits to Civil Dispensary Jar, CHC Gardai, and BHU Banda Gai to assess the performance of public healthcare institutions. During the visits, he thoroughly reviewed staff attendance, availability of medicines, cleanliness, and the overall medical facilities being provided to patients. He emphasized that government health centers serve as a primary lifeline for the public and that negligence in treatment and service delivery would not be tolerated. The medical staff was directed to ensure courteous behavior toward patients and to provide prompt and effective healthcare services. Upon noting shortages of medicines, the DHO Bajaur was instructed to take immediate measures to improve supply, particularly to facilitate residents of remote areas.
Later, the Deputy Commissioner visited the Jar Bridge site to inspect the ongoing construction work. He directed PKHA officials and the contractor to accelerate the pace of work without compromising on quality standards, so that the bridge could be completed within the shortest possible time and provide improved connectivity for the public. He also instructed the administration to strictly enforce the ban on sand extraction within 500 meters on both sides of the bridge to prevent structural damage. According to the district administration, these visits aim to ensure effective monitoring of public services and the timely completion of development projects to deliver tangible relief to the people.
