PESHAWAR: Deputy Commissioner Peshawar, Captain (Retd.) Sanaullah Khan, said that the friendship between Pakistan and China is not merely a relationship between two countries, but an exemplary bond based on trust, mutual respect, and shared interests, which is known worldwide as the friendship of “Iron Brothers.”
He expressed these views while addressing a ceremony organized by the District Administration Peshawar in collaboration with China Window to mark the completion of 75 years of Pak–China friendship. A large number of guests, including Administrator China Window Amjad Aziz Malik, were present on the occasion.
The Deputy Commissioner said that over the past seventy-five years, Pakistan and China have stood by each other in every difficult time and have maintained exemplary cooperation in the fields of diplomacy, economy, defense, and regional stability. He added that the China–Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is a game-changer project that has opened new avenues in Pakistan for infrastructure, energy, and trade.
Captain (Retd.) Sanaullah Khan further stated that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, particularly Peshawar, has historically been a center of trade and cultural links, and in the future economic, educational, and cultural cooperation between the two countries will further expand, with Peshawar playing an important role.
He emphasized that Pak–China friendship is not limited to governments alone; it has deep roots in the hearts of the people of both countries, which is the real strength of this relationship. He added that organizing the ceremony was not merely a formal activity but a reaffirmation of the commitment to further strengthen the friendship between the two nations.
The Deputy Commissioner congratulated the Chinese leadership, the people of China, and Chinese diplomats stationed in Pakistan, appreciated bilateral cooperation, and paid tribute to China Window for playing an important role in promoting Pak–China friendship. At the end of the ceremony, a cake was cut to celebrate the completion of 75 years of Pak–China friendship.
